Graham sat at the table in the staff room going over the reports he'd had his students write up. He had needed silence. He knew this was the only place he was going to get it. He had been trying to get these papers graded for hours, and he hadn't been able to get it done, at least not in his classroom, and he never took his work back to his room. He never took his work home with him. When he was living in Egypt with Evangeline and Adrianna, he never brought his work home with him. It was an ethic that he kept even as he started working here at Hogwarts.
But these reports weren't going to grade themselves. Of course, he could just use an enchantment on his quill and it could correct all of the reports without having to lift a finger. However, he wasn't going to do that. His job meant more to him than letting something else take care of his duties. Although, he'd love to spend some more time with his daughter. He knew she had friends of her own and she didn't need her father hovering over her every moment. She needed her space and Graham wasn't going to but his head in where it wasn't needed. She was a big girl who didn't need to hold her daddy's hand any longer. She hadn't needed it in quite a while.
He was exhausted. He just wanted to go back to his room and get some sleep, but these reports had waited long enough. The students were required to write about their favorite witch or wizard throughout history. He knew by giving them this assignment, they'd enhance their respect for Historical figures. Of course, Merlin was Graham's favorite Wizard throughout history. He'd hoped he could always be as great as Merlin, even though he knew that he would never go down in history like Merlin, but at least it gave him someone to look up to. If any of the students chose him, Graham was going to quietly jot down a few extra points for them.
