SPECIAL POSITIONS DESCRIPTIONS

Head Boy/Girl: The Head Boy and Girl are responsible for overseeing the prefects. They are responsible for helping the Hogwarts' staff patrolling the castle at least once per week. In times where extra help is needed, the Headmistress might require their assistance in extra patrolling and monitoring of students. The Head Boy and Girl are allowed to reward and dock points from students. The Head Boy and Girl must be seventh years, but it is not a per-requisite to be a prefect.
Prefects: There is a boy and girl prefect for every house in years five, six and seven. They cannot reward or dock points. They are responsible for monitoring students during the day and stopping any rule-breaking. If they are unable to stop the rule-breaking themselves, they are supposed to report to either a Head Boy or Girl or professor immediately. They do not patrol the school after curfew unless explicitly told to by the Headmistress or Deputy Headmistress.
Quidditch Captains: There is one quidditch captain per house. Each quidditch captain is responsible for gathering their team and conducting team practices. They are also responsible for holding try-outs for their teams. See the quidditch matches sub-board in the Hogwarts grounds board for more details.
