The year is 2012 and Hogwarts is producing some of the most powerful witches and wizards the wizarding world has seen in centuries, but something dark is brewing beneath the surface. Last year, three, seventh year students had been caught practicing dark magic and just a week later both the Headmaster and Deputy Headmaster died, apparently of an unknown heart condition, after being called away on urgent business. After weeks of investigation where the Ministry came in and interviewed numerous students, professors and even some of the house elves, an anonymous source finally came forward to say that there were some professors teaching the students dark magic, but they were unable to identify which teachers. In an attempt to weed out those professors, they appointed ex-auror Sarafina Salazar to the Headmistress position, assuming she could get the job done quickly and efficiently, but things haven’t been going to plan. Thanks to the past Headmaster’s leniency with everyone’s past, a multitude of professors have a history of practicing dark magic, leaving them at the top of the suspect list. However, with no students stepping forward and too many professors having a dark past to narrow down who it might be, no actions have been taken. With all of the inaction, the Ministry is becoming anxious and threatening to shut down Hogwarts, but Headmistress Salazar is fighting tooth and nail to keep the school open, all the while trying to figure out who is behind teaching the students dark magic.
