Sarafina is an animagus; her form is a raven. Before taking up the position of Headmistress, she was an auror. She was severely tortured in an undercover operation which is why she had an early retirement. She suffered a multitude of injuries and was left with a horrid scar on her back which has left her extremely self-conscious. She then became the Transfiguration Professor at Hogwarts. The previous Headmaster and Deputy Head had an early demise on a vacation in America, which left Sarafina to take over as one of the youngest Headmistresses of Hogwarts ever. She's been in the post just for a year now, and many underestimate her.[/style]

The Ministry doesn't like that she's Headmistress; they don't think someone so young and single could perform all of the tasks needed to be done. Sarafina doubts that if the world found out she was gay it would help her situation, either. So, she's looking for a male suitor to keep up appearances.[/style]

The Ministry definitely is a friend of hers, either.[/style]
