A dolphin. Dolphins are one of the smartest animals in the world. Plus they are aquatic. And the ocean is made of water, which reminds her of the muggle fire engines that put out the fire she was caught in in the muggle world of London when she was four years old.

Personality
No one in the world knows about her fear of fire. She has kept this a secret from everyone. She thinks it makes her weak, and she will NOT be weak in front of ANYONE. She hasn't cried since the day of that fire, even when she's gotten hurt. But that doesn't mean that she doesn't turn on the waterworks when she wants something from Daddy. She has her father, Trynithus Travers, wrapped around her tiny finger and she knows it. She is a daddy's girl and she's not ashamed to admit it. Even though she doesn't cry, she'll pretend to to get what she wants. Although it usually doesn't result to that, so her crocodile tears aren't usually needed.
Kit is obsessed with learning all about magic as possible. She would like to teach Hogwarts singlehandedly when she is older. Of course, with a duplicating spell, she would multiply herself and teach all the subjects, as well as being the headmistress of Hogwarts. She admires Sarafina Salazar more than most people. She admires here being a woman and being headmistress of such a wonderful school as Hogwarts. She would hope to be as great as she is. Even though Salazar was a Ravenclaw when she attended Hogwarts, she still admires here, after all, all of those Ravenclaws are smart cookies. Who wouldn't admire someone wlike Sarafina Salazar?
She thinks she's hot stuff, and she isn't the only one. She knows everyone else would fall head over heels just to speak to her. She uses her looks and her wits to get anything she wants. One thing she plays up to the max is her “good girl” demeanor. She's got an angelic face, most of the reason why her father bends to her every whim, and people automatically assume she's as innocent as she looks. But they couldn't be further from the truth. She can get out of ANYTHING just by batting her pretty little eyes and pouting her supple lips. And she's never lost Slytherin any house points, because she's always been able to use her innocent face and her cunning words to twist things around to make it look like she was actually doing something good.
Being Prefect of the Slytherin house, all the Slytherins look up to her, and she loves this. She loves the attention. She loves having each and every single one of them as her playthings... oops. Did I say playthings, I mean playmates. No, it's most definitely playthings. She loves watching people trip over themselves just to please her. She is a strong, badass and she doesn't let anyone tell her what to do or how to do it. If she's being taught something new, she always looks for new ways to learn it, so no one else can ever take the credit for her intelligence. She got this far all on her own, and she's not going to change for anyone or anything.
Also, Kit will NOT lift a finger to help anyone else. And why should she, when everyone else is already bending over backward to do things for her. OF COURSE, there ARE those few who don't like Kit. There are those who are jealous of her, for one reason or another, an believe me, there are plenty, but that doesn't matte to her. All those who don't like her, she says that's their problem, not hers. She's not going to lose sleep at night over them not liking her. She is who she is and she likes who she is, and she's not changing for anyone.

When Kit was only four years old, she had gotten separated from her parents on their way to Diagon Alley when she wandered in to a pastry shoppe in the muggle world of London and the place caught on fire. The muggle fire trucks came and put out the fire and she was rescued by a muggle firefighter. She wouldn't let go of the firefighter until she saw her parents. She had cried in his arms, telling him all about how she had gone into the pastry shoppe when both of her parents had told her to stay close to them, but she wouln't listen. She wanted a tasty. Once she saw her parents, her tears dried up and she hasn't shed a tear for anything ever since. Her parents were back and she was safe from the fire and she knew she'd have nothing to cry over ever again.
That was until her mother died. She was nine years old when this happened. The night her mama died, she locked herself up in her room and cried silently into her pillow. She was a big girl and she wasn't going to let this ruin her reputation. Her daddy told her it was alright to cry, but she assured him that she did not need to cry. She was sad that her mama was gone, but she was not going to cry over it. From that moment on, it was just Kit and her father. She had always been daddy's little girl, but now it was even more true.
The day Kit got her letter to Hogwarts, she told her daddy that one day she would be headmistress of that school and he told her if that was what she wanted, then she would have it. It wasn't something Tryithus could buy his daughter. He knew that if that was what she truly wanted, then that is what she would have. He couldn't hand it to her on a silver plate, and that's the thing he loved the most about it. He'd always handed her everything she'd ever wanted, but when she came to him, telling him she wanted something he couldn't give her himself personally, he knew that she would have to work on it and so it would mean more to her in the long run.
Kit is the girl prefect of Slytherin house and she loves it. The only other prefect she thinks even deserves the title is the boy prefect. All others, just as their houses and the people in them, were obscure and unnecessary. She would much rather the school be for Slytherin Witches and Wizards and no one else. Of course, she wouldn't even have the authority to do that when she became headmistress, but it is a dream she can have anyway. Kit loves to learn everything she can, and especially loves her transfiguration class and does all she can to impress the professor. Besides, he himself was in Slytherin house when attended Hogwarts as well.
